From being co-stars in the movies Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke, Kuch Naa Kaho, Guru and some more, to be “just companions” lastly perfect partners, Junior B, Abhishek Bachchan and ex-Miss World, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the ‘it couple’ of Bollywood. After a proper proposal in New York, the lovebirds went to Mumbai and got formally engaged on January 14, 2007, at the Bachchan’s home. And finally, Abhishek Bachchan tied the knot with Aishwarya Rai on April 20, 2007, and ever since then, their bond is getting stronger with each passing day. While they complete their 11 years of togetherness on April 20, 2018, Abhishek reveals the real reason why he got married to the international face of the Indian cinema, Aishwarya.
In one of his old meetings, Abhishek Bachchan had discussed the reason for marrying Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He expressed: “You don’t go home at night and say, ‘We are the IT couple’ or what we are going to do to maintain this. I think people spend too much time bothering about these things. Two of us have always been real about these things. We have no false illusions of grandeur nor we are aspiring to be that.” To approve his point further, junior Bachchan added, “We aspire to be best human beings, loving children and best professionals at what we do. These epitaphs are not going to stay. Today, you are number one and tomorrow, you are not going to be. I have always been like that. I am Amitabh Bachchan’s son”
Depicting the specific purpose for wedding Aishwarya Rai, he said: “That is not the premise of my relationship with Aishwarya. It’s not about – you’re hot and we should get hitched. It isn’t so much that. I wedded her for the person that she is, not on the grounds that she is the best actor we have or she is the global essence of the Indian film since she is perhaps the most delightful ladies. Towards the day’s end, when you return home from a hard day at work, you hit the bed and you need to confront certain real factors about how the individual resembles. These countenances that we have fallen off around evening time without cosmetics. I wedded her for that individual.” In another meeting to a day by day, Abhishek had said, “I’m used to individuals whistling at my better half… see my wife then you will know why I am saying this. I have never whistled at her to charm her… I don’t think its the correct activity. I sought her through my motion, feelings and words. To which, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had said, “This is the reason I am hitched to him.”
